Welcome to Rockmybaby® Childcare Centre – Napier

Where children and whānau grow together – because tamariki are at the heart of everything we do.

Located on Latham Street, in the heart of Napier, our centre provides high-quality early learning and care for tamariki aged 0–5 years. We’re proud to offer added support to our families, including a van pick-up service from 7:45 am and free, nutritious lunches prepared fresh onsite.

At Rockmybaby® Napier, we believe that early childhood is a time of wonder, growth, and discovery. We are passionate about delivering rich, play-based learning experiences in a warm and welcoming environment where every child feels a strong sense of belonging.

We foster respectful, reciprocal relationships with tamariki and whānau, and we value the unique aspirations and contributions each family brings. Our dedicated team of kaiako are committed to nurturing children's wellbeing, identity, and love for learning — supporting them to grow into confident, capable individuals.

Teina Room

Our Teina Room is a peaceful, nurturing space designed for our youngest tamariki.
This environment supports infants and toddlers as they begin their learning journey through calm, responsive care and play-based learning tailored to their developmental needs. Our experienced teaching team has been carefully chosen for their devotion to the ever-changing needs of pēpi and toddlers — with a strong focus on building secure relationships and supporting the rhythms and routines that matter most to each child and their whānau.

Te Puna Room

Our Te Puna Room supports the learning and development of our older toddlers and preschoolers as they grow in independence, confidence, and curiosity.
Children who begin their journey in the Teina Room generally move to Te Puna around the time of their second birthday. However, we always take a flexible and inclusive approach, working alongside whānau to make decisions that suit each child’s individual age, stage, and readiness.
In the Te Puna Room, tamariki are encouraged to express themselves, explore new ideas, build friendships, and prepare for their next stage in learning — all in a space that is creative, engaging, and filled with meaningful opportunities for growth.
